Traditional Sauna

Many Finns visit the sauna daily; it’s an integral part of our culture. The sauna is a place to unwind from the day’s events and stress, as well as to wash and relax. Our wood-heated sauna accommodates four people at a time. You can wash yourself with heated lake or spring water using a scoop and water container. If your group has 5-6 people, you can take turns in the sauna while others enjoy the hot tub or relax in the lounge room. The hot tub comfortably accommodates six people.

Visiting Finland in winter? You must experience a dip to a frozen lake (avanto)! This invigorating and refreshing activity involves immersing in ice-cold water, which stimulates blood circulation and may lower blood pressure. The water temperature is around zero degrees.

In summer, you can swim in the lake while enjoying the sauna or hot tub. Our beach has a lovely sandy bottom, and the water is clean and fresh, with summer temperatures ranging from 15-22 degrees. There’s also a spacious terrace where you can relax and admire the scenery.

After your sauna experience, we provide small snacks like cookies and peanuts. Soft drinks and water are available throughout your stay. A campfire is available for grilling.

In autumn, it’s very dark before the snow arrives. Nature becomes colorful as it prepares for winter, with temperatures usually below zero degrees (-5 to -10 degrees).
